Bible Study

A Bible Study group will begin on Tuesday,October 18th at 7:00 pmand will run for 6 weeks til November 22ndIn preparation for the second session on October 25th, participants might like to read Exodus 5:1-9, 14:5-14, 21-31, 16:1-3, 17:1-7, 32:1-14, & Deuteronomy 34:1-8 and in preparation for the third session on November 1st, participants might like to read Exodus 20:8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-17; Mark 2:23-28; Leviticus 25:8-46. There are many different ways to approach Bible Study. Marcus Borg suggested focusing on three macro stories that run through all of scripture: namely, Bondage and Liberation, Exile and Homecoming, and Sin and Forgiveness. This Fall we shall be looking at the oldest of these, Bondage and Liberation, starting with the classic story of the Exodus.

The congregation of Countryside United is fortunate to have Brenda Sander send cards of care and concern to members of our church who may need encouragement and support from their church family. While she is a sociable gal, things do happen that she does not hear about. Members are asked to help out by sending Brenda an email at brendabsander@gmail.com and let her know what is happening.

The Countryside UCW would like to collect milk bags to make a mat.  We will leave a flat box in the entrance way.  It takes 400 bags to make one mat so this may be an ongoing project. We will let you know about folding the bags at church.  Thank you the Countryside UCW.
